Welcome
Teaninich Castle dates back to 1754. The Castle was bought by the Munros of Teaninich in February 1660, the receipt for which is still preserved in the Teaninich Charter Chest. Through the many years the Castle's fortunes changed many times, but now it is again a wonderful building with a ready welcome for travellers.

The Castle is on the edge of the pretty town of Alness in the Highlands of Scotland and looks on to the shores of the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle beyond. The Castle is easily reached by road being only 30 miles north of Inverness. It is a good base to explore the Highlands, north, south, east and west, all a day trip away. The Castle is a restful place with gardens to relax in. Now fully upgraded to provide all the comforts of the 21st Century, Teaninich is an ideally situated holiday, business or wedding venue offering excellent communications by road, rail, sea and air.
